CYCLE YOUR WAY TO GOOD HEALTH!

The cyclists taking part in this year’s Tour of Britain are all super-fit athlete’s, who will have been training for months to reach a peak of physical fitness. But if you’re like the rest of us and simply looking to get fit and stay healthy, cycling’s a really good way to get started!

As it’s also a form of transport, cycling’s one of the easiest ways to fit a little exercise into your day while also saving money on petrol or bus fares, and being good for the environment.

Whether you choose to cycle or not, it’s really important to make sure you do some form of physical activity every day. Being active is good for all the family:

As a low-impact type of exercise, cycling’s ideal to help you get into shape – it’s easier on your joints than running or other high-impact aerobic activities. But even small changes to your day can make a big difference, so the most important thing is to be more active!
