Cheshire East Council is delighted to announce that Stage 3 of the Tour of Britain will take place in Cheshire on Tuesday 6 September 2016.

This is the largest free to attend sporting event in the UK, and the cycle race which will start in Congleton and finish in stunning Tatton Park will attract some of the best riders and cycling teams in the world.

The 182 km route which is still being finalised will take in some of the county’s most scenic countryside as it winds its way through villages and towns across the borough. There will be significant challenges for the competitors including a climb of more than 10 kilometres on the Cat and Fiddle A537 road.
